Application Deadline has been extended to Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 4:00 PM

The City of Chippewa Falls and the Chippewa Falls Redevelopment Authority (RDA) realize the vital importance of small businesses on our community and local economy. The impacts from COVID-19 have been rapidly occurring, severely crippling, and long-lasting, resulting in a mutual agreement to develop a one-time grant program aimed to help small businesses continue to operate and reopen their storefronts safely, and continue to contribute our vibrant downtown.

This grant program is designed to offset the costs of commercial property mortgages, loans and leases following the March 17, 2020 Safer at Home order. This program can offer eligible businesses up to 60 days, up to a maximum of $2,500 for commercial rent, mortgage or lease payments that became due after March 17, 2020.

Who is Eligible:
- Small businesses with 15 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) employees prior to the Safer at Home Order
- Must be located in a bricks and mortar storefront as a major tenant or owner, within the City of Chippewa Falls
- Must have been in a total state of closure or unable to operate a major facet of their business following the Safer at Home Order from March 17, 2020.

For questions regarding the grant, please contact City Planner Brad Hentschel at 715-726-2729.
