| In accordance with Wisconsin State
Statute
62.23(1), the City of Chippewa Falls Common Council has
empowered a City Plan Commission. The Plan Commission consists of a
board of seven people appointed by the Mayor that serve three year
terms on the commission.
The primary function of the Plan Commission is to create and
adopt a master plan, or
Comprehensive Plan, for the physical development of the
city, including any areas outside the city boundaries which bear
relation to the development of the city. In addition, the Plan
Commission also addresses the following matters: The location and
and architectural design of any public building; the location,
acceptance, extension, alteration, vacation, abandonment, change of
use, sale, acquisition, of land for or lease of land for any street,
alley, or other public way, park, playground, airport, area for
parking vehicles; the location, extension, abandonment, or
authorization for any public utility whether publicly or privately
owned; and all plats of lands in the city or within the territory
over which the city is given platting jurisdiction (which is a
three-mile radius around the city limits).
The Plan Commission meets on the first Monday after the first
Tuesday of each month at 7:30 in City Hall. To place an item
